Carrick chief Gary Haveron airs delight as Conor McCloskey extends stay
McCloskey – a target for Glentoran and Glenavon – has signed a new deal with the Premiership new-boys.
Aaron Traynor has also agreed to extend his time at the club.

Hide Ad“There was a lot of speculation over Conor and if he would leave this summer,” Haveron said.
“We gave him the space he needed and thankfully he has come back and decided to stay with Carrick.
“It is a massive piece of business for the club because he is such a talented player.
“He had a great season last year and that naturally got other clubs interested. But we are delighted that he is staying.”

Hide AdHaveron believes McCloskey will shine in the Premiership next season.
“I think Conor likes what we are doing at Carrick, and he is looking forward to playing in the Premiership,” he added.
“I have no doubts that he will be a big player for us next season. We are delighted he will be with us.”
Haveron added: “Aaron signing a new deal is brilliant news for us too. He is another big player for us so we are delighted.”
