Coleraine's 1-0 win over Carrick Rangers on Saturday will not go down as a classic, but one moment from the game has been captured to look like a real work of art!

With chances at a premium at The Showgrounds sports photographer Dessie Loughrey was on hand to capture the one real moment of excitement as Aaron Canning grabbed the winner for the Bannsiders with 13 minutes to go.

The defender slammed the ball home from close range after a scramble in the six-yard box.

It was during the melee that Dessie produced his own moment of magic as he snapped an image which is reminiscent of one of the great works of art.

The picture really does have everything. Every time you look at it you see something else.

From Eoin Bradley grappling with his own skipper Stevie O'Donnell, to the Carrick goalkeeper and several defenders lying helpless on the ground to a Coleraine steward looking exasperated with his hands on his head behind the goal.

It was the steward's reaction which stands out for Dessie.

"Love this," he said. The steward's face is priceless!"

Unsurprisingly the photograph went down a storm on social media.

"Remove the ball and that’s a cracking spot the ball comp. the reactions," tweeted @FordFC.

Former Linfield defender Pat McShane agreed tweeting: "This would make a wapper, spot the ball!"

@RobinsonAlan said: "a real piece of art!"

@cmadams18 echoed his sentiments: "This photo from Coleraine v Carrick Rangers is an absolute work of art."

@MikeyMcC1984 added: "Strong contender for best football picture resembling an artwork here."

All masterpieces though need a title and there were a couple of good suggestions.

"The Last Scramble" suggested @1stejones.

"The importance of a goal" offered @Redeyes1878, and "Six Yard Box on any given Saturday" was @GeoffreyChauc19 suggestion.

One thing we can all agree on though is Dessie's picture should be in a museum alongside similar masterpieces.

Well maybe not all of us. The steward who was perfectly captured in the shot @davemcn1981, joked: "No one wants a pic of me with my hands on my head in a museum!"
