GAMETHEWORLD (GTW), the UK's largest and most successful computer games franchise opens in Ballymena in a few short weeks – bringing 21st Century entertainment to the many enthusiastic gamers in the area.
GTW, located inside Video City – 13 Cullybackey Road consists of 16 high-spec computers that are linked in, not only to each other, but to all the GTW centres located around the country allowing for massive national leagues and competitions to take p
lace.
Soon, GTW Ballymena will be putting its gamers to the forefront of the UK “multiplayer e-sports” scene and we will discover if Ballymena has the local talent to be crowned UK champions and promoted into European and Worldwide events.
For the techie’s out there, GTW offers DX10 standard graphics, 19” widescreen LCD monitors, 16Mbit internet connection on a 1Gbit LAN.

Video City plan to open GTW on Saturday, August 25. GTW will then be open from 9am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 11am to 10am on weekdays.
In the coming months Video City will launch Gametheworld franchises in Ballymoney, Magherafelt, Cookstown, Lurgan, Portadown, Lisburn and Castlereagh Road, Belfast.
These sites will compliment the existing GTW sites in Bangor, Coleraine, Armagh and Comber.
