Building firm hit by slump

One of Northern Ireland's largest construction companies last night confirmed it is in talks with financial institutions after a downturn in its fortunes.
Londonderry-based Taggart Holdings has had meetings with its banks in recent days regarding its financial position, which has weakened considerably due to the downturn in the construction industry.

A spokesman for the company confirmed its building programme has been put on hold.
