A Holywood-based advertising agency has won a major new contract for the world's largest retail property group
Ardmore Advertising has won TV, radio and outdoor creative work in a campaign for Westfield, which owns Belfast’s Castlecourt shopping.

Westfield, which is the sixth largest entity on the Australian Stock Exchange, has interests in 118 shopping ce
ntres around the world and the new advertising campaign will be launched across the United Kingdom in October this year.

It will feature three of the flagship retail and leisure schemes – CastleCourt in Belfast, Westfield in Derby and Merry Hill in the West Midlands.

Martina Sloan, Westfield’s National Retail and Marketing Manager said: “The calibre of the creative produced by Ardmore was exceptional and we are looking forward to working with such a dynamic team on our Christmas campaign.”

CastleCourt, which recently celebrated its 18th birthday, boasts over 80 stores. The centre is anchored by Debenhams on two levels as well as TK Maxx, Dorothy Perkins/Burtons, Zavvi, Argos and New Look. There is also car parking on six levels providing 1,600 spaces.

Meanwhile, the opening of the Westfield Derby in October 2007 has radically transformed the city. It has over 175 stores including Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Zara, All Saints, Monsoon, Bershka, TopShop, Next, H&M, River Island, Monsoon, The Pier, WH Smith, and Boots. There is also a 12-screen, 2,200-seater Showcase Cinema de lux.

Merry Hill is the sixth largest and one of the most successful shopping centres in the United Kingdom, attracting more than 24 million visitors a year. The complex includes an Odeon cinema, external retail park, and 7,200 car parking spaces.

Ardmore account director, Joanne Curran, said: “I am delighted that Ardmore will be supporting Westfield, an incredibly successful, leading retail brand. This is a great vote of confidence for the advertising industry in Northern Ireland.”
