Coast to coast adventurers sought

CHILDREN Today is looking for real adventurers to join them on the defining multi-sport journey of the British Isles to raise funds for vital equipment for disabled children.

The Coast to Coast Challenge takes place over the weekend of September 15/16, 2012. It is a route that traverses across one of the most famous mountain landscapes in the world by bike, foot and kayak; that covers just over 100 miles, a journey that takes in some of the most iconic locations and amazing views in the Scottish Highlands: Loch Ness, the Great Glen, Ben Nevis and Glen Coe.

This event is designed for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness who has a sense of adventure and enjoys the beautiful outdoors. It is set over two days, with a fully-equipped overnight camp at the mid-point close to the shores of Loch Ness.

Commenting on the challenge, Regional Fundraising Manager Emma Fawcett said “ … anyone taking part will not only have a tremendous adventure but also the rewarding experience of knowing they are helping to provide vitally-needed specialised equipment for disabled children.”

You can do it on your own or with a team mate; all you need to do to take part in this amazing opportunity is to raise a minimum of £300 sponsorship per person with a £25 deposit on registration.
