Unionists are feeling ‘insecure’

SOME time ago we were informed by the DUP that, owing to their efforts, the unionist population in Northern Ireland was secure.

When one is bombarded daily by news of more concessions to nationalists/republicans, one wonders?

The News Letter draws attention to the neglect of Unionist/Protestant cultural events by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board as well as the museums and the broadcasting media.

I think it is time to awaken from our dreams. Unionists should not lose any sleep over the non-coverage of the Sham Fight at Scarva, because there are concessions being enacted every day by the puppet regime at the Stormont Assembly.

Trimble needed the leader of Nationalism's agreement before he could do anything. It was the UUP who opened the door to terrorists in government with the GFA. No doubt , had the DUP scuppered the Maze regeneration deal, because of what the UUP now belatedly call a "shrine", then "ieper " and "MOD" would have complained that they wasted the chance of having an £18 million cash injection into the economy because of petty political point scoring, at the peoples expense.

DUP concessions to Sinn Fein are numerous. The fact that Robinson has to have McGuinness' agreement for anything suggests this. Specifically the redevelopment of the Maze saw a complete collapse of DUP opposition to what Sinn Fein wanted. Jeffrey Donaldson said there would be H Blocks etc. Look at the DUPSinn Fein plans. Prison hospital and an H Block. The stories of both sides, the security forces and the Provos, will be displayed there and , no doubt, given equal legitimacy. It will be a shrine to terrorism. I think the DUP capitulation on this issue will be a turning point for many. Robinson promised a battle a day. Never happened. Only battle DUP are interested in is the battle against the UUP, who also made major mistakes in government. But step away from party politics and accept what has happened. It is common practice to offer previously vested land back to its original owners if it becomes surplus to requirements. Sell the land back to the farmers from whence it came.

The DUP made sure Sinnfein signed up to supporting the Police and the British Judiciary before it was devolved unlike Trimble and Co who were about to gift it without any preconditions, before the electorate saw the danger and voted in the DUP. Smashing Sinnfein wont' be done overnight. What is etc etc?

District judges, policing and justice and smashing sinn fein etc etc etc. They did play a good game I'll give them that. Let Trimble make the running and then stepped in and took over. Their timing was good.

What concessions have the DUP yielded exactly Veritas? All the sell out was done by the UUP, before the DUP put the brakes on them.? Remember the RUC? Why don't you give the NITB a call and complain?
