In some of the latest showbiz news it has been revealed that SELENA GOMEZ has turned to KATY PERRY for dating advice.

The Come And Get It singer - who previously had a long on-off romance with JUSTIN BIEBER - admitted she went to Katy for tips on finding a man who wouldn’t be intimidated by her strength.

Selena, 21, told Seventeen magazine: “I actually talked to Katy Perry about guys who are intimidated by strong girls.

“I haven’t found someone yet who could understand my lifestyle, support it, love me through it, and not be threatened by it. It’s hard. I do think I might scare some guys, because I’m like, ‘I want to change the world! I have dreams! What do you want to do?’. But I only know how to be me.”

:: ANNE HATHAWAY says she stayed out of the limelight after her Oscar win - because “people needed a break from me”.

The actress, 31, enjoyed huge acclaim for her performance in musical film Les Miserables, culminating in a Best Supporting Actress win at the Academy Awards early last year.

But, with the exception of a cameo in Don Jon, film fans saw little of the star during the rest of 2013 and Anne told The Huffington Post people got tired of her.

“My impression is that people needed a break from me,” The Devil Wears Prada star laughed.

As well as her Oscar, Anne won a Golden Globe, SAG and Bafta for her role as Fantine in Les Miserables.

:: KRISTEN BELL has admitted that her husband loved her fuller pregnancy figure - telling the actress it was like being with another woman.

The 33-year-old Veronica Mars star and husband DAX SHEPARD, 39, an actor, became parents to a baby girl in March last year.

Kristen told US television host Conan O’Brien: “He said he likes some meat on my bones. First he phrased it as ‘there is more of you to love’.

“One time he did say, ‘It feels like I’m cheating on you’. And that, I think, was the ticket because he felt like he was with a completely different woman, which is pretty exciting if you’re married and you can feel with someone else so he loved it,” the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star said.

:: DANE DEHAAN has revealed that the stars aligned for his latest film, Life After Beth.

The Kill Your Darlings actor stars opposite JOHN C REILLY and AUBREY PLAZA in the “zany” zombie comedy, which was written and directed by Aubrey’s boyfriend Jeff Baena.

“It’s just so zany and original and fun. It’s my first comedy so that was a big draw,” he said.

“And then some of my favourite comedians are in the movie so it was just a one-of-a-kind opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”

Dane joked that Life After Beth is nothing like John Krokidas’s dark drama Kill Your Darlings, in which he played Beat writer Lucien Carr.

“This is a lot different than Kill Your Darlings, I can guarantee you that. It’s almost like the polar opposite movie,” he quipped.

:: ELIZABETH BANKS has revealed she likes to tease JENNIFER LAWRENCE about her Oscar nomination.

Jennifer - who is currently filming the new Hunger Games instalment Mockingjay - Part 1 with Elizabeth - has been nominated for the best supporting actress Oscar for her performance in American Hustle. Last year when she won best actress at the Academy Awards for Silver Linings Playbook she fell over as she climbed onto the stage.

Elizabeth told E! News: “I was on set the day she was nominated. We all kid with her more than anything... A lot of poking fun at her. She can handle it, which is a lovely quality of hers.”

The 30 Rock star said Jennifer was “pretty cool” and added, “She is exactly what people hope that she is, which is a really fun, easy-going gal you’d want to hang out with. You definitely want to have a beer with her.”

:: ETHAN HAWKE has raved about RICHARD LINKLATER’s new film Boyhood, giving praise to the “completely unique” concept.

The Gattaca actor and PATRICIA ARQUETTE star in the film, which was shot over the space of 12 years, beginning in 2002.

“It’s just completely unique. I don’t know anybody else that’s done this either. It’s a strange thing to try to do. My first scene in the movie, I was 32 years old. I’m going to be 44 this year,” Ethan said.

The drama, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, follows the relationships of a divorced couple (played by Ethan and Patricia) and their son (Ellar Salmon) over the 12-year period.

“You fly by the seat of your pants. It’s fun. Every other movie I’ve made in my life is like something else - this is like nothing else,” Ethan continued. “We’re in the weird part of the water where you don’t really know how to swim.”
