DAVID Lynas outlined in 'Bus service failing children' (News Letter, September 20) some disappointing customer service experience by his daughter while travelling with us.
We expect all our staff to deal with all passengers in a friendly, helpful and professional manner. If this did not happen in this case, I apologise.

Each day, Translink brings over 65,000 children and young people to and from school and we advise pupils on the best service to board depending on their school, in order to balance passenger loading numbers on buses appropriately. We do not yet have full details of the incident described by Mr Lynas and I would urge him to contact me to discuss this issue.

David Cowan
Southern Area manager
