Lack of lift at airport

AT Easter I went to Belfast International Airport to meet my son coming home from university. Being early, I decided to go up to the viewing area to watch for his flight.
As I had my 16-month-old granddaughter in her buggy I went to use the lift only to find an "out of order" sign on it.

I carried the baby up the stairs to watch the planes and down again to meet my son.

Two weeks later, when my son was going back to England, the lift was still not working. Again, at the start of May I was at the airport and the lift was still broken.

On Saturday, May 31, my son came home for a week and again the lift to the viewing area was "out of order".

This is a ridiculous situation. It is bad enough for someone with a pram who can carry a child up and down the stairs, but what about someone in a wheelchair or elderly who wouldn't be able to climb the stairs.

Maybe the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland should look into this.
