GWYNETH PALTROW is taking a break to focus on her children after splitting from husband CHRIS MARTIN.

The actress opened up about her plans in an interview with E! News, which she gave shortly before she and the Coldplay frontman announced they were ending their 10-year marriage.

Gwyneth - mum to Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, with Chris - said: “I just finished a movie in January that I was doing at the end of last year in London with JOHNNY DEPP, and then I had two weeks here, and then I did a couple of episodes for Glee for the 100th episode.

“So I have to go back to mommy... I have a rule about one movie a year, so I can’t shoot anything for a while, but I’m developing some material and working on the site [her website, Goop] and raising kids.”

JOHNNY DEPP has wowed the crowd after he turned up at CinemaCon to promote his latest film.

The star - who recently got engaged to actress girlfriend AMBER HEARD - was apparently a last minute addition to the line-up at the event in Las Vegas.

Dressed in jeans and a leather jacket, the actor and his co-star MORGAN FREEMAN introduced footage from their upcoming sci-fi thriller Transcendence, which sees Johnny play a scientist whose brain is uploaded into a computer.

DREW BARRYMORE and ADAM SANDLER previewed their film Blended, while CHANNING TATUM and MILA KUNIS introduced a clip of Jupiter Ascending.

MILEY CYRUS is less likely to take up a spot on The X Factor judging panel than ELVIS PRESLEY or Mahatma Gandhi, her spokesman has said.

It had been rumoured that the singer was being eyed by SIMON COWELL for this year’s series, but a representative for her rubbished the claims.

They told the Daily Mirror: “Simon has more chance of getting Elvis or Gandhi as a judge.”

Simon has previously talked about his appreciation for Miley, but apparently Miley joining the ITV show was never on the cards as she is in the middle of her world tour.

Simon is returning to the panel and is being joined by former judge CHERYL COLE.

LOUIS WALSH is expected to be back, but speculation continues about who the fourth judge will be.

JAMIE DORNAN has said that getting into the mindset of a serial killer is probably doing him damage, but he doesn’t care because he loves it.

The actor stars in BBC Two murder drama series The Fall and is currently shooting the second series, but said that his role as the serial killer was probably not doing his mental state much good.

He told What’s On TV: “I love it. It’s not easy being in that headspace for that amount of time and it’s probably doing long-term damage. But I absolutely love being there - I don’t know what that says about me.”

KIM KARDASHIAN has admitted she doesn’t even recognise herself without make-up.

The star gets glammed up for shoots and celebrity events so often that she revealed it’s strange for her not to pile on the cosmetics, reported the Daily Mirror.

Speaking while getting made up for her much-talked about shoot and interview with Vogue, she said: “If I could do this every day of the year I would.

“I feel odd when I don’t wear make-up! I don’t recognise myself.”

The star, her fiance KANYE WEST and their nine-month-old daughter North appear in Vogue’s April issue.

SHIA LABEOUF has reportedly pulled out of the movie Rock The Kasbah.

The actor was due to play a military man, but has left the project, said The Hollywood Reporter.

It comes weeks after Shia sparked controversy with his odd behaviour, which included a plagiarism scandal and subsequent performance art installation to apologise, walking out of a press conference for Nymphomaniac and wearing a paper bag on his head emblazoned with the words “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE”.

Sources have said his departure was amicable.

The film will star BILL MURRAY as A washed-up music manager trying to find talent in Afghanistan.
