The 20th anniversary of Down Royal Racecourse was certainly celebrated in style this weekend with plenty of well dressed racegoers strutting their stuff.
The Best Dressed competition saw a record number of entries with stylish outfits aplenty as the people dressed to impress on Ladies Day.
The blustery weather did not stop competition entrants from donning their most stylish outfits and enjoying the annual event.
Banbridge woman Nicole Caldwell scooped the top prize, being named best dressed on the day, as judged by model and wife of singer Bryan McFadden, Vogue Williams and fashion guru Bairbre Power.
Nicole will now enjoy an all-expenses paid trip for two to Dubai, while five finalists were awarded meals at the renowned Mourne Seafood restaurant in Belfast.
Friday was a memorable one for our own champion jockey Tony McCoy, who rode Jezki to victory, moving to within eight wins of the magic 4,000-winner milestone over jumps.
Speaking after judging the Best Dressed competition, Vogue Williams, said people had dressed stylishly despite the wintry weather conditions.
“This is my first visit to Down Royal Racecourse and it has exceeded all expectations,” she said.
“I love fashion so it was a privilege to be asked to judge Best Dressed and spend the day with some of Northern Ireland’s most stylish ladies.”
The famous racing weekend is celebrating 20 years of award-winning racing, hospitality and investment.
