Fans flock to city for Dolly gig

The blonde who's proud to be a hillbilly stormed back to Belfast last night for the first of two nights of her Backwoods Barbie Tour at the Odyssey arena in Belfast.

With a rave reception for her latest country music album, Dolly Parton was in sparkling form for last night’s sold-out show.

And her Odyssey concerts come with crowd-pleasing big screens this time after complaints about visibility the last time the petite, wise-cracking blonde played the arena.

The multi-platinum-selling artist from Tennessee visibly enjoys returning to the Province and her sense of humour is typified by her favourite joke: “It costs a lot to look this cheap,” which always goes down a storm with country fans across Northern Ireland.

Some tickets remain for tonight’s concert.
