VIDEO: Balmoral Show
THE 'country came to town' as the Balmoral Show got under way in Belfast.
The three-day event got off to an early start at the King's Hall on Wednesday and over 70,000 people are expected to attend the annual showpiece.
The show is the premier event in Northern Ireland's agricultural calendar, attracting tens of thousands of visitors and livestock exhibitors.
Among the many attractions will be daily displays of cattle, sheep, horses and pigs among other animals, as well as hundreds of trade stands offering a range of products within the showgrounds.
Celebrated chef Jenny Bristow will be delivering live masterclass sessions at the event.
With the support of some of Northern Ireland's finest food producers, Jenny will be offering audiences top tips on creating healthy, convenient dishes.
Titan the robot, who was a hit at last year's show, will once again take up residence within the showgrounds.
The robot treats everyone he meets to a quick one-liner or serenade.
Organisers are asking those attending to expect traffic congestion around the King's Hall due to the increased volume of traffic.
Highlights on Wednesday include the Young Farmers' sheep shearing competition, a dog agility display, freestyle motorcross and numerous livestock exhibitions.
