VIDEO: NI fans 'positive' over Slovenia test

NORTHERN Ireland football fans are in a "positive" frame of mind as Nigel Worthington's side kick-off their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign against Slovenia.

Approximately 1,000 members of the famous Green and White Army are expected to be in the stands in Maribor on Friday night.

The fans are hoping their side can obtain a positive result, despite not winning a game for 10 matches.

Gary McAllister, from the Amalgamation of Northern Ireland Supporters Clubs, is hopeful that Aaron Hughes and his teammates can avenge their 2-0 defeat at the same venue in 2008.

Speaking to the News Letter, the avid supporter gives his views on where he believes the game will be won or lost, his thoughts on Nigel Worthington's team selection and shares his thoughts on the lack of playing time at their clubs for many of the current international side.

Slovenia against Northern Ireland kicks-off at 7.45pm on Friday.
