Sharon said she has been gardening from when she was a youngster.
‘‘I was sent out to do the dreaded weeding, which sometimes included the flowers too! Then after I got married and had my own garden it just became part of my life.’’
Sharon said what she loves most about gardening is ‘‘the miracle which occurs’’.
‘‘From planting seeds and seeing them magically appear, to the unfurling of a dahlia or rose and showing such petal perfection. I also love the calm it brings, the best place to do your thinking.’’
Her plants include hostas, lady’s mantle, herbs, roses and gladioli.
