Armagh woman killed on holiday

AN Armagh woman on a family holiday in the Canary Islands has been killed after being hit by a car.
Mother of five Molly Grimley, 78, who was confined to a wheelchair after a recent bout of ill health, died as she and two of her four daughters left a restaurant in Tenerife on Monday night.
Mrs Grimley, of Portadown Road in Armagh was hit on a pedestrian crossing in the busy resort of Las Americas.
She was thrown from her wheelchair and died later in hospital.
The driver of the car was arrested and is to face court on drink-driving charges.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out and arrangements are currently being made to fly her body home.
SDLP Armagh councillor Mealla Bratton said she was deeply saddened to hear of Mrs Grimley's death.
She said:"My heartfelt sympathy goes out to this lady's family and circle of friends at this sad time.
"Local people will be praying for them as they deal with this tragedy."people will be praying for them as they deal with this tragedy."
