Car dealer is fined

OMAGH: A Fermanagh car dealer has been fined in court for selling a clocked car.
Mark Stanley Allen was fined £1,600 at Omagh Magistrates Court.

Mr Allen, from Kesh, was also found to have provided a false service history.

In addition, he advertised 10 cars for sale in the Autotrader car magazine, claiming to be a private seller.

In a case brought by Trading Standards Service, Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Kesh motor dealer Mr Allen pleaded guilty to one charge under the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 and 10 under the Fair Trading Act 1973.

He was ordered to pay £1,500 compensation to the buyer and £10 costs.
