FIRE crews have been attacked overnight on five separate occasions across the Province.
On a night of widespread disruption, members of the fire service were targeted in Belfast, Londonderry, Bangor and Newtownabbey.

Two incidents occurred in Belfast on the Woodstock Road and in the Falls Road area.

It is reported when called to the Galliagh area of Londonderry, fire personnel were subjected to stone throwing.

A fire service spokesperson confirmed there were no injuries sustained or damage to vehicles reported.

Belfast Lord Mayor Jim Rodgers has condemned the attacks as "appalling".
