AHOGHILL: The 32-year-old woman rescued from a house fire in Ahoghill last week has died in hospital.
Kara Connolly died in hospital on Wednesday, four days after being rescued from the blaze which broke out in the property on the village’s Church Street.

Several local men tried to get into the house with a fire extinguisher after the blaze broke out late last Friday but were beaten back by thick smoke.

The mother-of-three is survived by her children, Adam, Daniel and David James, by parents John and Georgina and siblings, Tracie, Elizabeth, Kelly and David.

Last night a police spokesman said police were investigating the blaze – which is not believed to be suspicious – for the coroner.
