AROUND 1,000 balloons are set to be released in the grounds of Belfast Castle this Sunday in memory of the thousands of babies that die in the Province every year.
The poignant event is being held to mark Baby Loss Aw-areness Week, and will be hosted by local charity Life After Loss.

A number of representatives from other charities, as well as DUP MP Jeffrey Donald-son, will also attend the weekend’s event.

Anyone wishing to release a balloon will be able to obtain a tag from Life After Loss representatives on Sunday on which they will be able to write a message to their baby / babies.

The charity will be on hand in the Donegall Room in the Castle from 3pm onwards, and the balloons will be released an hour later.

All proceeds from Sunday’s event will go to Life After Loss.
