MAGHERFELT: A Magherafelt man is to stand trial on a murder charge.
Ryan Loughran, 28, of Derramore Avenue in the town, is accused of murdering former Belfast man Declan McNeill on August 4 last year.

Mr McNeill, 41, a chef, was found lying in the hallway of a house at Baronscourt, close to the Mid-Ulster Hospital.

Loughran, who denies the charge, was remanded in custody when he appeared at Magherafelt Magistrates Court yesterday until his arraignment at Londonderry Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
