A 21-YEAR-OLD man has died following an accident in Newry, police have confirmed.
The accident, involving a motorcycle, occurred on the Newry by-pass close to the Chancellor's Road junction at approximately 10pm on Friday evening.

It is not known at this stage if any other vehicles were involved in the fatal incident.

A total of 14 motorcyclists have been killed on Ulster's roads so far this year.

The road was closed for a considerable time but re-opened on Saturday morning for traffic in both directions.

Police are particularly keen to speak to any commuters who were in the area between 8pm and 10pm on Friday.
