“He died as a result of his injuries,” a police spokeswoman said.

Officers have renewed appeals for witnesses to the collision.

The 20-year-old biker killed near Ballymoney on Friday has also been named.

He was Timothy Stewart from Ballymoney.

He died after his machine left the main Belfast to Ballymoney road and went into a ditch at around 1pm.

No other vehicles were involved in the fatal accident on the A26 Burnquarter Road near its junction with the Bravallen Road.

Mr Stewart is survived by his parents Clifford and Hilary and sister Amy.

His funeral will be held today at Drumreagh Presbyterian Church in Ballymoney where he will be buried in the adjoining cemetery.

The latest deaths bring the number of bikers who have died so far this year to four along with 32 other road users killed.
