A FERMANAGH girl got a shock she hadn't bargained for on a ghost ride in Amsterdam.
Michelle Irvine, 24, from Enniskillen, couldn’t believe her eyes when she discovered the person sharing her roller-coaster carriage was none other than Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney.

Rooney, who is currently recovering from an ankle injury, was with his girlfriend Coleen and a group of other friends on the tour of the city’s dungeons.

Michelle, an ardent Manchester United fan herself, only realised she was in the presence of a Reds legend, albeit a well wrapped up one, when she was queuing to get a picture of her visit.

“I was on the tour for around 80 minutes and only realised Wayne and Coleen had been with us at the very end,” she said.

“I reckon I was too petrified on the ghost tour to notice anyone else.

“I do remember seeing a group of Liverpool girls who looked really well dressed and glamourous but I never knew one of them was Coleen until we saw them queuing for the photos with us at the end.”
