Royal Mail has apologised for delays in delivering results to pupils in Northern Ireland for 11 plus replacement tests.
A statement from Royal Mail yesterday acknowledged delays in the Craigavon area.
It has been reported that some parents travelled to the sorting office yesterday to ask for results when they failed to be delivered.
A spokeswoman said: "The vast
majority of exam results have been successfully delivered this morning. There was a short delay to a fraction of items mainly in the Craigavon area which have now been delivered. We know this is an anxious time for parents and children and
apologise for any concern caused."
Some 14,000 schoolchildren learned the results of the replacement 11-plus tests on Saturday.
The 11-plus was abolished last year but, with no political agreement on a replacement, unregulated tests have been set by the Association for Quality Education (AQE), representing mainly state grammar schools, and the Post Primary Transfer Consortium (PPTC), which mainly represents Catholic maintained grammar schools.
The Education Minister has wished children well in choosing their new schools, adding that some grammar schools had decided to stop using entrance tests.
