Belgian national television is searching for Belfast residents to feature in a documentary about "birthday twins".
The programme makers have selected about 20 Belgians who are wondering what their lives would have been like if they had been born somewhere else on the planet on the same day.

“Up until now, we have been filming an episode with a Chilean inmate a
nd a Namibian teacher,” said editor Annelore De Donder.

“A Belfast citizen would be interesting as well.”

The Birthday Twins project wants to find as many Belfast people as possible who match birthdays with their own selected nationals (dates below), with one local person to be selected for inclusion in the programme.

“The selected Belgian will visit their Belfast birthday twin and will dive into his or her life for a couple of days,” said Annelore.

“Together they can discover to what extent their surroundings, habits, past and present have been of influence on their life and way of thinking and what the resemblances or differences are.

“This will eventually end up in parallel portraits. We are looking for people with an interesting background and life history, through whom we can learn more about the culture, customs and traditions and history of their native country.”

The programme makers are looking for a man born on one of these dates: April 29, 1933, July 18, 1948, July 19, 1948, September 25, 1949, February 11, 1952, January 18, 1956, May 5, 1956, December 30, 1960, July 24 , 1962, January 14, 1965, January 27, 1965, February 5, 1969, December 1, 1971 and May 3, 1981.

Alternatively a woman born on one of these dates will also be considered: April 5, 1943, May 2, 1950, July, 20 1963, March 24, 1964, March 26, 1975, December 27, 1979 and July 24, 1982
