A TEENAGER has been cleared of the murder of Ballymena schoolboy Michael 'Mickey-Bo' McIlveen.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was formally found "not guilty" on Monday after pleading guilty to criminal damage.

The juvenile was released on bail while the trial of four others, all charged with the murder, continues.

One of the accused, 20-year-old Mervyn Wilson Moon, pleaded guilty to the murder charge last year.

Michael McIlveen died in hospital in May 2006 after being attacked in an alleyway in the Co Antrim town.
