THE expenses of Northern Ireland's MPs' have been published.
The radical move follows a public outcry after leaks that many public representatives at Westminster had abused the system.

The information published online covers the past four financial years, although much of the detail has been blacked out.

More than a million printed documents and receipts have been scanned electronically over the last year in a major publishing operation

Expenses recorded by Northern Ireland MPs will be of much interest to the Ulster electorate.

Among the claims from our local representatives include an LCD TV by Mark Durkan, cushions and towels from Laura Ashley by Iris Robinson and a green chair with lumber support by Gerry Adams.

South Antrim MP William McCrea purchased a flat in London in April 2006, however, the price has been blotted out.

DUP leader Peter Robinson claimed for a tub chair at £235 and a clock at £31.45 among many items.

Meanwhile, Martin McGuinness claimed for a first aid kit at £22.99.
