A rule for one community...

ANYONE doubting the veracity of the First Minister’s comments on the impartiality of the PSNI, or rather the lack of when dealing with unionists, could they please explain to a simple unionist like myself how residents of Saintfield, Ballygowan and Comber can experience road stops with the police checking MoT, tax, insurance, tyres and even measuring the numbers on licence plates with a rule, when at the same time illegal fuel stations were operating, seemingly with impunity, in several areas, including west Belfast.

The way I see it is that part of the Good Friday Agreement was a nod and a wink to republicans on law enforcement and the PSNI encouraged to harass motorists in unionist areas to bolster the detection figures.

This is what I choose to believe, and I would be hard to persuade otherwise.
