Armed robbery at Belfast letting agency

TWO men, one armed with a suspected firearm, have made off with cash from a letting agency on University Street in south Belfast.

The incident happened at 11.20am on Friday 26.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Two men entered the premises, while another male remained outside. One of the men was armed with a suspected firearm. The men made off with a sum of money and headed on foot in the direction of the university.”

He added: “The first man is described as being of heavy build, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, and is believed to be aged in his late 40s or early 50s. He was wearing a high visibility jacket, beige jumper and light blue jeans.

“The second man is described as being of thin build and aged in his mid 30s. He wore a high visibility jacket and dark blue jeans. Both men spoke with Belfast accents.

“The third man had short dark hair.”
