Avenue of trees to mark Queen's reign
I would just like to take this opportunity through your letters page to thank all the parties on Belfast City Council for supporting my proposal to plant an avenue of trees to mark Her Majesty the Queen's record breaking reign.
I have seen the plans (pictured above) and whilst I am slightly disappointed that I could not achieve this for a south Belfast park, I am nevertheless thrilled that the city of Belfast will at Knocknagoney Park mark this significant milestone in our national history.
I am sure your readers will join with me in wishing Her Majesty many more long and happy years.
