Fire crews are currently fighting a blaze in Bangor with reports of 'traffic chaos' in the town.

It is understood the fire is at a mid-terrace property in the Queen's Parade area.

One message from Andi Jarvis on Twitter reads: "I'd avoid Queen's Parade in #Bangor just now. Fire in one of the derelict buildings causing traffic chaos."

Four appliances – two from Bangor and two from Newtownards were dispatched to the scene at 3.21pm.

A Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters are currently dealing with a fire in a mid-terrace three-storey unoccupied building. The incident is ongoing."
