Northern Ireland’s first ski-themed bar is set to open next October as part of Belfast’s newest hotel.
Expected to create around 100 new jobs when it opens in about eight weeks, the Baltic is part of the Bullitt Hotel, a 43-bedroom £4 million development by the people behind the city’s five-star Merchant Hotel and a province-wide string of pubs.
Based on the corner of Ann Street and Victoria Street, the new venue is aimned at attracting a fashionable clientiele.
“Our vision for Bullitt is to create a new and exciting hospitality concept,” Conall Wolsey, director of the Beannchor pub group behind the development.
“The hotel will offer so much more than just a bed for the night, it will also be a place where people can work, relax and socialise.”
The hotel will be equipped with super-fast wi-fi, fast check-ins for guests and stylish bedrooms.
Mr Wolsey added: “It will be a space for meetings, coffee and lunch during the day and a place to meet and mingle over cocktails and food at night.
“Also on offer will be an eclectic calendar of events for both locals and visitors to enjoy.”
Colin Neill, CEO of Hospitality Ulster said: “The creation of around 100 new jobs when it is operational, and new hotel beds for the city, is a fantastic boost for the local hotel sector and wider hospitality industry.”
