Ryanair officially opened its new base at Belfast International Airport with the launch of its four times daily service to London Gatwick earlier today.

To mark the opening of the new route, Ryanir is releasing 100,000 seats for sale priced from £19.99

The Gatwick route will increase to five times daily as part of the airline’s 2016 winter schedule.

The winter 2016 schedule will also include seven new routes to Alicante, Berlin, Krakow, Lanzarote, Malaga, Milan and Tenerife, which will deliver over 1m customers per year and support 750 jobs at Belfast International Airport.

Ryanair’s sales and marketing executive, Lisa Buckley said: “We are pleased to open our new Belfast base and launch our London Gatwick service (four x daily) with more new routes to come for winter 2016, which include Alicante, Berlin, Krakow, Lanzarote, Malaga, Milan and Tenerife, as well as extra flights to London Gatwick (5 x daily), which will deliver over 1m customers p.a. and support 750 jobs at our Belfast International base.
