A New York-based software company that allows iPads to be used as cash registers and cut costs for small businesses is to create 35 new jobs in Belfast.

Around 10,000 firms from ice cream parlours to garden centres use the ShopKeep POS product in the US and Canada and the fast-growing technology firm wants to expand into Europe.

Retailers use its app to ring up sales, take credit cards and print receipts. It enables the storing and analysis of data.
