Belfast based TruCorp Ltd, a leading provider of high-tech clinical training manikins, has secured an order estimated to be worth over £73,000 from a US based Healthcare company.
The order is for the company’s trademark product, the ‘AirSim Bronchi’ and is its first business with the healthcare company.
“This immensely encouraging contract is the latest success for TruCorp in the US market and shows what can be achieved from a determination to do business on the international stage,” said Alison Gowdy, Invest NI director of trade.
“TruCorp is an entrepreneurial business with a sharp focus on innovation in global life sciences, and it is this innovation which has been the driver in helping it to win this further business in the US.
“The company has a long standing relationship with Invest NI and has received a range of support to develop new products and identify new customers.
“This new contract will help TruCorp realise its ambitious five year growth strategy and will further strengthen the company’s export potential in the future.”
TruCorp provides targeted clinical product solutions in a variety of categories including airway management, anaesthesia, resuscitation and Medical Trauma Training.
Invest NI has offered the firm a range of assistance over a number of years, totalling circa £230K, including a grant for R&D, innovation vouchers, assistance to participate on trade missions and marketing support.
Colin Foster, TruCorp’s managing director said: “For too long, health professionals have had to use unrealistic models for practicing skills training.
“In response, we have designed, engineered and produced a wide variety of training manikins for airway management and trauma training on both adults and paediatrics.
“Through Invest NI support we have grown our reputation globally by using Invest NI trade missions to showcase our unique products in international markets and used its marketing support to ensure we meet the needs of our customers in key target markets.
“This contract is an important milestone in the growth of our business and we hope to continue to build on our network of contacts in the US to generate further export sales.”
