Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said she is hopeful the Northern Ireland companies that travelled with her to South Africa for a business expedition this week have learned a lot from the experience.
Almost 30 companies accompanied the minister on a trade mission in an attempt to gain a foothold in what is a growing export market.
The Minister said she wants to see more trade “going in both directions”.
Asked about the businesses taking part in the trip Ms Foster said: “I’ve been very impressed by their attitude to do business in South Africa.
“It’s been a good experience and I hope that our companies will learn a lot from their visit to Johannesburg and Pretoria.”
