Detectives in south Belfast have recovered a car stolen from a care worker in Finaghy at the weekend.

During the incident a female care worker was leaving the area when her car, a black Kia Sportage became stuck in soft ground.

A passer by pushed the car until it was free but then pulled the woman from the car and drove off down Finaghy Road in the direction of the Lisburn Road.

A PSNI spokesman said that “While the victim was not physically injured she was quite shaken by the incident”.
