Child involved in east Belfast collision

A child has been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children after being involved in a collision in east Belfast.

A PSNI spokesman said the collision which involved a car happened near Lomond Avenue in the Holywood road area around 4pm.

He added that it was understood the child had sustained “superficial injuries” in the collision.

But had been taken to hospital as a precaution.
