Two members of popular country music singer Lisa McHugh’s band members have been hospitalised following a “serious car accident” in Clogher during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The popular country music star told worried fans she was cancelling a gig in Tipperary because of the crash.
Police attended the scene in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) morning along with other emergency services.
Writing on social media on Sunday, Lisa McHugh said: “Due to two of my band members being involved in a serious car accident last night on the way home from our show in Dundalk, unfortunately tonight’s show has been postponed to a later date. Thankfully both of them will make a full recovery given time to heal,”
PSNI Inspector Gavin Sterling said: “Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment, one of whom is described as having serious injuries.
“Anyone who saw anything in the early hours of the morning involving a Black Mercedes and Black Audi A4 should contact police on the non-emergency police number 101, quoting reference 215 of 23/04/17.
