A Co Tyrone man who died following a crash in the Republic of Ireland has been named.
The crash happened on Sunday evening, and the Garda Siochana circulated details of the incident on Monday afternoon.
The incident took place at 5.55pm at Station Road, Cootehill, Co Cavan.
The picture was initially very confused, with the Garda claiming originally claiming that both the driver and a passenger had been killed.
However they later said there was one fatal victim – a rear passenger in the vehicle, aged in his 20s.
The driver and front passenger – also both in their 20s and from Co Tyrone – were taken to hospital.
The Garda had no details about their condition on Monday.
Mr Wilson was from a rural region to the south of Omagh.
He had worked at McKenna Precision Engineering, not far from Fintona.
A member of staff at the firm said simply that he was “a fine young man”.
McAtee Funeral Directors listed him as being the son of Ellie Callaghan and Lewis Wilson, and as having four siblings.
Independent Omagh councillor Sorcha McAnespy described him as “a young person just in the prime of their life”.
“It’s unreal,” she said.
“There’s just shock. He seemed to be a popular young fellow.”
