Attacks treated as hate crimes

Police are treating a trio of attacks on east Belfast properties as “hate crimes”.

The front windows of two properties in Strandtown Road were bricked, while two windows at another property in Victoria Avenue were also shattered.

The incidents all occurred within about 15 minutes of each other, starting at 11.25pm on Sunday.

No one was injured.

The Alliance Party said the properties were all homes, and that the attacks were racially motivated.
