The PSNI announced a string of seizures following an operation targeting illegal taxis and money laundering in west Belfast and in Co Down.
Detectives from Serious Crime Branch announced today the results of searches carried out on Thursday which saw them comb through a number of houses and businesses, and stop number of suspected illegal taxis.
Cannabis resin worth an estimated £1,500 was seized, and a 52-year-old man was charged with possession of the drug, and possession with intent to supply.
He is set to appear at Downpatrick Court on July 24.
In addition £800 in cash was seized; six illegal taxi drivers stopped and spoken to regarding various offences; six people were found to be working whilst claiming benefits; a vehicle was seized on suspicion of using red diesel, and an illegal gaming machine was impounded.
More than 60 road traffic and motoring-related offences are being investigated.
A number of other items were removed for further examination during the searches which were conducted under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
