Disabled woman escapes injury after Ballymoney explosions


A disabled woman escaped injury after reports of two pipe bomb explosions in Ballymoney in the early hours of Saturday.

The first explosion was reported to have happened at around 4.15am at a house in Hanna Court. The resident, aged in her 50s, was left shaken and a window of the property was damaged.

Ten minutes later a second explosion was reported in Henry Street.

A car and house were damaged but a man in his 40s, who was in the property near the explosion, was not harmed.

Homes in the area were evacuated and Army Technical Offices were tasked to the scene.

Police said they are investigating a link between the incidents,
