A security alert on the Larne-to-Belfast railway line was a false alarm.
A PSNI spokesman said on Sunday that trains had been stopped and searches of the line were being conducted.
The security operation swung into operation after a report that a device had been left on the line close to the Clipperstown halt, to the south-west of Carrickfergus.
It began at about 4pm, and affected both the Belfast-bound and Larne-bound lines.
Translink told the News Letter on Monday that the track had reopened just before 7pm, and that it is understood that “nothing untoward” was ultimately found.
