Police have been granted more time to question suspects who were arrested following the discovery of a dead man in a bin.
Disabled man Owen Creaney, 40, was discovered in the wheelie bin at a house in Craigavon on Saturday, and it is believed that he suffered a “sustained” attack, and that he may have remained alive for some time afterwards.
Two arrests were made in the wake of the find, and this afternoon detectives announced they have been granted additional time by the courts to question the two suspects.
They said in a statement: “An extension was granted until tomorrow (Tuesday, July 8) to interview a 23 year old woman and 27 year old man”.
DUP MP David Simpson said he understands that Mr Creaney had been stabbed, but at time of writing the official results of the post-mortem had not been revealed.
