Staff of an off-licence were left shaken after being threatened by a knife-wielding robber last night.

Detectives are appealing for information following the robbery at an off-licence on the Antrim Road, Belfast.

At approximately 8.30pm two men, wearing snoods pulled up around their noses and their hoods up over their heads entered the premises.

After making a purchase one of the males then asked the assistant for another item.

When she opened the till one of the men produced a knife. He lunged towards the member of staff jabbing the knife in her direction.

The second male them removed a sum of money and receipts from the till.

Both were challenged by a male member of staff as they made off towards the door, one of the males produced the knife again. They then made off on foot.

Neither member of staff was injured, however they were left very badly shaken.
