An estimated £30,000-worth of herbal cannabis has been seized by police.

Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch uncovered the drugs in north Belfast’s Skegoneill area on Wednesday.

Detective Chief Inspector Liam Ennis said: “Two men, aged 27 and 29, have been arrested in relation to these illegal drugs and other offences.

“They are being questioned at a police station in Belfast.

“We are determined to remove illegal drugs from circulation and will act on any information which is provided to us.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the PSNI displayed a vast haul of drugs – including cocaine and speed – which they are planning to destroy.
