Man arrested after woman injured in Belfast flat

A 26-year-old woman has been treated in hospital for injuries sustained in a west Belfast flat in the early hours of this morning.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident in the Suffolk Road area.

A PSNI spokesman said the “woman is currently receiving treatment in hospital for her injuries that are not believed to be life threatening”.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who saw or heard anything in the area late last night or early this morning to contact them at CID in Woodbourne Police Station on the non-emergency number, 101.
